Current Student - Michael Fernandez
Michael Fernandez is a second-year graduate student in the Live Entertainment Program. Originally from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, Michael earned his Bachelor of Music from the University of Idaho before moving to Seattle to work with the Seattle Symphony. After completing his graduate studies, Michael’s goal is to create equitable arts programming for underserved communities.
Alumna - Ellee Kennedy
Ellee Kennedy is currently working as the Development and Engagement Manager at the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera. Her position at the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera consists of implementing the day-to-day development, marketing, and communications work of the organization. Ellee works to help synthesize fundraising, communications, and patron preservation plans through effective patron and donor engagement.

Colombian GRAMMY-Nominated audio engineer, arts manager, and musician Natalia Ramirez graduated with her Master's in Live Entertainment Management at the Frost School of Music. She was chosen for the “Frost School of Music Outstanding Graduate Student Award” in 2017.

Gustavo Padrino, B.M. '15, M.A. '17, is the Event Settlement Accountant at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, where Gustavo prepares show settlements for Broadway, Self-Presentations, Rentals and Educational Programs, including Co-Promotions with Live Nation and AEG Live. Previously, Gustavo worked with the Programming department in the talent booking process, supporting the Programming Director with artist research, offer letters, show budgets and contract analysis.

Live Entertainment Management

The Live Entertainment Management program is a master's degree with a direct connection to the performing arts and commercial music industries in Miami and around the world. Creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation illustrate its specialized curriculum. Students fueled by drive and ambition come together from around the globe for hands-on experience in all aspects of arts management—running organizations and teams, designing and launching events, guiding artists, building businesses, and more. It’s a true, 360-degree arts leadership learning experience.
